Parking and Road Safety Around School

Parking around school during drop-off and pick-up times can present significant safety risks for children, pedestrians, and other road users.

We strongly encourage families to walk to and from school wherever possible or to consider car sharing to help reduce traffic congestion around the school site. We also ask all parents and carers to observe parking restrictions and show consideration for pedestrians, local residents, and fellow road users at all times.

Parents and carers are advised to park safely and legally before walking their children into school. Double-parking should be avoided, as it creates obstructions and can prevent the safe flow of traffic. It is particularly important that school buses have unrestricted access and a clear passageway to ensure the safe arrival and departure of pupils.

Drivers must not park on the yellow zigzag lines between 8:00am and 4:00pm on weekdays. These markings are in place to maintain clear visibility for vehicles entering and exiting the school grounds and to help ensure the safety of all members of our school community.

We would also respectfully ask parents and carers to be mindful of our neighbours who live close to the school and to ensure that driveways, entrances, and access points are never obstructed.
